Welcome to the Braille Sense Getting Started Guide. This guide will introduce you to the Braille Sense, provide general information on basic functions, and help you set your user preferences for the unit.
You can exit this guide at any time by pressing Space with E. press the Enter key, to the right of dot-6, to move to the next step.

2. Physical Orientation:
To get a description of all the keys and buttons, as well as a list of tasks you can perform on the Braille sense, you can read the first chapter of the User Manual. You can access this information at any time by navigating to the "Overview" item in the help menu.
Press Space to open and read it now. When you are finished, press Space with E to return to the Getting Started Guide.
To skip this step, press "Enter".

3. Common hot keys:
Displayed here is a list of common hot keys used on the Braille Sense. You can access this same list at any time by pressing Space-H from the main menu. Press Space-1 and Space-4 to move through the items in the list.
Press Backspace to return to step 2. Press Enter to move on to step 4.

4. Setting the Time:
For items like social networking, the calendar, and Schedule Manager, it is important for your unit to maintain the correct time. in the time setting, use Space-1 and Space-4 to move back and forward one hour. Use Space-2 and Space-5 to move back and forward by 10 minute increments. Use Space-3 and Space-6 to move back and forward by 1 minute.
You may also type the time directly using hh mm with a space between the hours and the minutes. 
Press "Enter" to continue to the time setting. If the time is already correct, press "Enter" again to continue to the next step.

5. Setting the Date:
As with the time setting, it is also important for the Braille Sense to show the correct date for appointments, social network postings, etc. in the Date setting, use Space-3 and Space-6 to move back and forward by one day. Use Space-2 and Space-5 to move back and forward by one week. Use Space-1 and Space-4 to move back and forward by one month. Use Space-2-3 and Space-5-6 to move back and forward by one year.
You can also enter the date directly as mm dd yyyy with spaces separating day, month and year.
Press "Enter" to open the date setting. If the date is already correct, press "Enter" again to continue to the next step.

6. Customizing your unit:
The Braille Sense "global options" provides a very long list of settings for Braille and speech, visual display, Wifi and Bluetooth, and several other options to customize how your unit operates. You can access the Global options at any time by pressing "Space-O". Use Space-1 and Space-4 to navigate among the settings. Use Space and Backspace to adjust the value of the settings. When you are finished, press "Enter" to save your changes.
If you want to set the Global options now, press Space. To skip this step, press "Enter".

7. You're done!
Congratulations! Your Braille Sense is now ready to use. For further assistance in getting up and running, open the Help menu from anywhere on the unit by pressing F1 with H, and the chapters of the User Manual are displayed. Use Space-1 and Space-4 to navigate among them, and press Enter on the one you wish to read. You can also get a list of available keystrokes in your current program by pressing Space with H.
Press "Enter" to exit the Getting Started Guide, and you will be taken to the Braille Sense main program menu.
